Web Browsers that I use...

Multitask could be my middle name. The way I keep track of all the different activities on (while 3 different computers) is use a variety of browsers and utilize their strong points. This a is not a better than choice, rather taking what stands out and using their strenghts for my advantage. Some I save to continue my setting and login while others would rather clean the cache.

Cleaning the cache is no longer a big deal. Cache was important when everyone had narrow band connections and slow processors. Cache has been slowly losing it's relevance especially since spammers like to use cache to load malware, pop-ups etc.. I only preserve cache (temporary history files) on websites that I will re-use and dedicate a browser that be fits my needs...

Here is how I benefit from them:

Here is a simple and straightforward way to bring users up-to-date on current news relating to the main web browsers. This particular subject deserves special attention, and should not be lumped together amongst the rest of the endless information provided in daily feeds.

The end of an era...
http://browser.netscape.com/
Heart of the Mozilla Project then partnered with AOL, takes me back to the 90's when Netscape dominated the web by Marc Andreessen http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marc_Andreessen co-author of Mosaic. Since Netscape Mr. Andreessen has been involved with Digg and Twitter.

The big "But"... but now this puppy has been finally put to rest (sad to say), from Netscape's blog:
"As announced previously, as of March 1st, all official support for Netscape browsers has ceased, including all security updates. Early next week, users of Netscape Browser 8 will be presented with an update that will allow them to migrate directly to the current version of Flock.
Since Netscape Browser 8 no longer receives security updates, the Netscape team at AOL strongly recommends that those still using Netscape upgrade to a safe browser alternative. Flock is just such an alternative, based on a strong Firefox core with many additional features that allow you to manage your webmail and social networks. Plus, the core team that originally built Netscape Browser 8 is largely still intact, and is the same team that builds Flock."
